This site is primarily for the Anti-Cancer Belly Dancers team ("ACBD") that was formed in South Florida for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

There is a group on Facebook which is not just for our team, but for anyone with similar interests.

News for 2012

This year we are participating in the Relay for Life of Deerfield Beach and Lighthouse Point which will be held May 5-6.
YES! We will be doing "Shimmy for a Cause" again thise year as our major fundraiser.
- Will be on National Cancer Survivors Day (June 3) at ArtServe in Ft. Lauderdale.

Some history:

ACBD formed in 2010 for the Relay for Life of Downtown Delray Beach, FL. We participated in that Relay again in 2011.
In 2011 we decided to host a show, "Shimmy for a Cause," as our major fundraiser. It was successful, raising over $1200 for the cause. We have some pictures from our 2011 show. We also have some additional old 2011 show info.
