The Wakodahatchee Wetlands are right here in Delray, part of a water reclamation project by the local water utility. They have a nice boardwalk you can walk around and see all kinds of critters, mostly birds, but also alligators, turtles, of course various insects, and other critters. These photos were taken 11/28/99. On that day we even saw an otter!

April 23, 2000 Babies! We saw a couple of small groups of baby gallinules, being fed by their parents. Also a mama duck with ducklings. There were also quite a few least bitterns there, which we had not seen before. Also terns.
