01. Second fee reminder
CID Members are reminded again to send membership fee for 2010. Remittance preferably by cheque, otherwise by bank transfer, Western Union , or www.paypal.com Fee is always the same: 55 € for individuals, 110 € for institutions, 30 € for students (US$ 80, 160 and 45 respectively).
Only recipients of a letter of confirmation for 2010 can use the title of "Member of the International Dance Council CID-UNESCO"
02. CID Headquarters
CID has moved to new, more spacious offices at UNESCO. When in Paris , you can visit us at bâtiment 7, bureau 205. Postal address, phone and fax numbers remain the same.
03. Competition in Slovenia
13 June 2010, for young performers in contemporary dance, born between 1986 and 2001. Pieces of 2 to 3.5 minutes. Prizes between 200 and 800 euros.
04. Folk festival in Bulgaria
16-30 June 2010 on the Black Sea coast, inviting dance, song and instrumental ensembles with members under 30 years years of age.
05. Folk camp in Poland
Inviting groups of 15 young people aged 18-25 and 2 leaders. Offering accommodation, full board, local transport, excursions and eventually airfare. 26 August to 6 September 2010 .
06. Street dance training in Paris
Only for professional or semi-professional street (hip hop) dancers, 20-21/02/2010 and 12-18/042010, with 7 instructors.
07. Ballet competition in Germany
3-4 April 2010, choreography of 5 to 15 minutes and a solo ballet. Send DVD. Three prizes of 13,500 euros total, plus other prizes of 1,000 and 1,500 euros.
08. Festivals in Turkey
Ankara 13-20/05/2010, Istanbul 10-18/07/2010, Antalya 18-25/04/2010, Izmir 13-20/06/2010. Inviting applications.
09. Festivals in Tunisia , Bulgaria , Spain and Malta
Travel agency proposes various festivals.
10. Tango festival in Italy
In Florence 22-25 April 2010 including workshops, classes, gala and performances.
11. Doctor's degree in Canada
Ph. D. in Administration. Marketing and management of the arts and cultural industries. Starting September 2010. Financial assistance available.

All forms of dance. An average of 500 professionals from the 5 continents take part in each CID-UNESCO Congress. Registrations are open for performances, classes, lectures, exhibitions. Ask for certificate to be used for visa or financial support.
13. Dances declared Cultural Heritage
Tango is the latest of a number of dances declared by UNESCO part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. For a list of these dances please contact the CID Secretariat or CID Sections in the respective countries.
