I Wish I Were at Oasis Dance Camp

(Written by Sherezzah after being inspired by the presence of the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile (right) at ODC-South 1997. Performed (choreographic notes in parentheses) by the Rising Phoenix Dancers and friends at the closing ceremonies. Sung to the tune of the "I wish I were an Oscar Meyer Weiner" song (obviously).)

I Wish I Were at Oasis Dance Camp

I wish I were at O-asis Dance Camp
             (cow arms)
That is where I'd truly love to be-e-e
             (face back with "lover" hands)
For if I were at O-asis Dance Camp
(barbecue tongs, barbecue tongs, barbecue tongs)
I would get to learn the beledy.
(gypsy hits to wrist, shoulder, head)
(spoken:) Wow! I could've had a 9/8!*

* When originally performed, this was V-8, but Cassandra later suggested 9/8 which I thought was much better.
